Potential Sponsor Open Letter 2013-2014
Junior ROTC Department
Fayette County High School
Fayetteville, GA 30214
May 15, 2014
Dear Potential Sponsor,
“Motivating Young People To Be Better Citizens” is one of the most important factors in creating tomorrow's workforce; this
is the mantra of our Junior ROTC program at Fayette County High School. As a result of this, our cadets are indeed worthy of your praise and financial support.
We would like to request your individual or company’s assistance in providing enhanced leadership, personal responsibility, and development
opportunities to the cadets of Fayette County’s Junior ROTC program. Specific needs along with estimated costs are itemized in
Enclosure 1 in support of cadet participation in multiple activities and competitions, which include drill team, color guard along with one-week
leadership development camps. Services would also be greatly appreciated, such as required cleaning each year for the Army Combat Uniform, and the Black Windbreaker. Every penny of your financial contribution to this growing program, which has been an integral part of Fayette County High School since 2011, will be applied entirely to cadet activities and equipment…there are no overhead costs. You can donate to our general fund, sponsor a cadet(s) and/or contribute to a specific area of JROTC if preferred. Money drawn from the general fund will be based upon priorities established by JROTC Instructors as currently outlined in Enclosure 1. .
Junior ROTC is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership service to the community, personal responsibility,
and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in each cadet healthy self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline. Junior ROTC prepares high
school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American citizens. Our leadership development program is a stimulus for promoting graduation from high school and strong encouragement for a post-high school education
experience such as trade school, community college or university. Additionally, JROTC provides instruction and rewarding opportunities that
will benefit the student, community and nation for decades. Our cadets collectively give back to our surrounding area through a host of community
service activities which include Veterans Day parade, MLK Day parade, Saint Jude’s Children Hospital donations, Toys 4 Tots, Clothing and Can food drives, Bloom Foundation donation project and much more. Simply stated, the program prepares our cadets for success after high school.
Now, what’s in it for you: First is the intrinsic value to the community by contributing to the development of our future workforce. With respect to advertising your company at various JROTC activities, opportunities exist to:
-frequently acknowledge support by displaying your company’s
logo on banners, brochures and signs,
-verbally highlighting your support to visitors,
-corporate representatives present awards at various competitions and our annual JROTC awards ceremony,
-having your logo appear on shirts worn by cadets at fitness, drill, academic and/or marksmanship competitions
-highlighting your support with parents during class registration windows,
-posting your company’s logo on our JROTC website,
-presenting financial contributions in public forums with photo opportunities,
-presentation of the colors as requested.
Thank you for considering this request for such a worthy program that is solely
focused on “Motivating Young People To Be Better Citizens.”
